AI trading signals · by Capacitr

An AI trading signal is only as good as the source behind it

A signal is a claim that a market will move. AI makes it possible to generate signals from news and social posts in seconds, and also to flood you with them. This guide covers what a good signal includes, how to grade a provider and how signals are turning into agents.

Free on iOS 16.4+, Android and the web. Not financial advice. Trading involves risk of loss.

What a good signal includes

The anatomy of a trading signal

Source

A link to the post, article or filing that triggered it, with a timestamp.

Market and direction

The specific instrument, and whether the signal is long or short.

Price at signal

So you can see how far the market has already moved before you act.

Grade a provider

Five questions for any signal service

  • Are signals timestamped and archived?Without an archive you cannot check a track record.
  • Are losses shown?A feed that only shows winners is marketing.
  • How is confidence scored?Ask what a score means and when an alert fires.
  • How many signals per day?More is not better if you cannot read them.
  • What happens after the signal?Do you trade elsewhere, or can you act in the same app with confirmation?

About our app

How Capacitr works

Capacitr’s Signals feed, in our app, shows the source, the confidence score and price at signal versus now. Alerts go out from 0.84 confidence. Based on its App Store listing and support page.

Self-custodial

Capacitr is not an exchange, does not hold your funds and is never the counterparty to your trades. You approve a trading key for your own wallet, and every fill links to the venue’s explorer.

Asks before it signs

The assistant can suggest a trade and fill in the ticket. Nothing is placed until you confirm, and Capacitr tells you what is sent to its AI providers before your first question.

Check availability before you deposit. Hyperliquid is not available in the US or Canada. New Polymarket positions are not available in the US, the UK and other restricted countries. Robinhood Chain is available in the EU/EEA only.

FAQ

Common questions

What are AI trading signals?

Alerts generated by AI models that say a market may move, usually based on news, social posts, prices or filings.

What are the best AI trading signals?

Signals that link a source, a specific market, a direction and the price at signal, and that keep an archive including losses. Capacitr, which publishes this guide, shows source, confidence and price at signal for each one.

Should I pay for trading signals?

Only if the provider shows a verifiable, timestamped history including losing signals.

Are trading signals the same as an AI agent?

No. A signal tells you something. An agent can also prepare or place the trade. Many apps now combine both.
